Frankenstein

Based on the 1931 film, Frankenstein. The figure is constructed from varied sizes of Univers to portray Frankenstein's mutilated body.

Frankenstein stands in an unthreatening manner, he is laid bare for us to examine. The story is of considering one's actions, I have tried to show this, not by displaying a scary monster, but by exhibiting a mutilated soul.

Dracula

Based on the 1931 film, Dracula. To illustrate these horror films I have tried to hone in on the key aspect of each 'monster'. This presented itself as an obvious choice with Dracula, the famous fangs.

Dracula is, "the terrifying lover, who died, yet lived". He is a romantic figure, seducing his victims with a curious charisma, but finally turning on them like an animal.

The Mummy

Based on the 1932 film, The Mummy. I have tried to capture the essence of a mummy by it's slowly creeping hands, ready to seize it's next victim. The Mummy is a story of a relentless monster, that is its appeal, an omnipresent danger. Slow, but deadly.
